The mission of USABF is to promote bilateral trade between the United States and South Asian countries, enhance their business climates, and build relationships that will result in mutually beneficial business deals.
Trade relations represent our growth, our future and our way of life. The Trade growth between the U.S. and South Asia is a force to be harnessed and fostered and the USABF is a significant step in that direction. |

Gurbax Bhasin
Mr. Bhasin, Chairman of Prego Inc., has been involved with the textile/fashion apparel industry for over 25 years, giving him a unique understanding of the intricacies of the industry as a whole. Mr. Bhasin started “Angel International” in 1979 in India and engaged in the manufacture and export of apparel to Europe and the United States. A few years later, Mr. Bhasin set up “Paras Fashion” in the United States to connect “Angel International” trading agreements with companies throughout North America. Mr. Bhasin set out to redefine success by carefully integrating his various million dollar companies, thereby establishing Prego Inc. in 2002.
Since its inception, Prego Inc. continues to grow and is constantly building strong relationships with clientele. The company is in the process of shifting its concepts to upper-market department stores such as Bloomingdales, Macy’s, and May Co., as well as exclusive specialty stores. Mr. Bhasin, a successful businessman, is also well known for his philanthropy to multiple charitable organizations.
Mr Bhasin is also an active investor in real estate and infrastructure projects. His current projects include the development of luxury housing in Anaheim Hills, CA, apartment complexes in Mexico City, Mexico, office complexes and industrial warehouses in Riverside and Victorville, CA and a high rise office buildings in downtown Los Angeles, CA. Mr Bhasin also sits on the board of directors of R Systems - a large, publicly traded Information Technology firm.
Mr. Bhasin has also received numerous awards and recognition from the Governor of California, Members of the US Congress, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, the State Board of Equalization, and the California Senate. |

 Kevin kaul
Mr. Kaul is an awardee from the California Governor Gray Davis, California Assembly members, Mayor of Los Angeles, County Supervisors and Assessor of Los Angeles and Orange County, several US Congressmen and Congresswomen. He is the CEO of Urbantec Development and Investments (USA) Inc and President of California Developers (a Real Estate Development, Investment, Construction and Construction Management Company). Prior to California Developers Limited, Mr. Kaul was successful in obtaining the contract and thereafter joint venture financing for a large real estate project in India. He also has interest in various software companies based in India and the US. Mr Kaul is also the Executive Director of US-Asia Business Forum and this organization to created history in the United States by organizing the first ever US-India Investment Seminar and Business Expo in partnership with the Mayor of Los Angeles, US Department of Commerce and FICCI in India.
Mr. Kaul’s experience includes program management, construction management, construction, and the design/building of ship repair facilities catering to Panamax size vessels, and the development of a mini-township in Navi Mumbai, India.
Mr. Kaul also serves as the Chairman of Los Angeles County Sheriffs Lee Baca’s Indo-American Advisory Council.
In both 1998 and in 2004, Mr. Kaul was the keynote speaker at the Global Non-Resident Indian’s Conference on ‘Infrastructure and Housing’ organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). Mr. Kaul is the California coordinator of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebration, an annual event taking place in India. Mr. Kaul was also the Chairman of Government Liaison of “TIE” (The Indus Entrepreneurs), the largest trade and commerce organization of the South Asians in California. Mr Kaul is the Executive Vice President of South Asians in American Media and Chairman of the Pravasi Congress Party based in India.
